In this work the paint is a skin which covers the bones of structure stitched into the canvases. Semi-organic stitched lines become reminiscent of seams and fissures, or perhaps scars, while still evoking some feeling of urban structures.  Many small canvases placed in grids or rows describe windows, city blocks, circuit boards.  Translucent layers of paint create strangely delicate surfaces that bring to mind old stone, weathered metal, tanned leather or skin.

The resulting work exists somewhere between the human-made and the human body itself.
